1:1 Mentoring Session with Melody Vaughan
February 18 @ 14:00 - 18:30
Do you have big plans for 2020 but need a bit of help organising your time or working out how to get started? Creative consultant Melody Vaughan is joining us here at Clayhill to help you with just that.
It can be tricky finding time to reflect or evaluate how your creative practice is going when you have deadlines or a business to run. But, it’s essential to have the space to stop and consider things, to articulate what it is you are doing, and most importantly – why.
In this hour long session you can delve into the values and motivations for your work, identify the things that energise you and look for exciting possibilities.
“By listening carefully to how I spoke about myself and the work, Melody was able to mirror back things that were just beyond what I was able to connect for myself. Being observed changed how I observe myself, and in taking a different approach than I do, has shifted my perspective significantly.” Sharon Adams, applied artist
“When Melody and I met initially it was not in the context of consultant and client, but as contemporaries, and I immediately felt, from her understated, intuitive approach and her clear and generous enthusiasm for the work of other creatives, that I would love to enlist her talents if the opportunity arose. Because Melody is a maker herself, as well as a skilled writer and editor, she is perfectly positioned to understand and give voice to a maker’s mindset. Melody does not ask the obvious questions and this makes discussing your work with her an interesting and useful exercise in itself” Jo Elbourne, maker
