Each course has its own price range, stated on the individual course pages.

The course tickets and accommodation/extra nights are sold separately.

Courses range from £190 - £550.
Accommodation is priced at £80 per night.

Our courses are aimed at adult education levels.
Anyone with an interest in creative skills and development.
Skill levels may vary for each course, which will be mentioned in the FAQ section on each individual course page.

Unless stated otherwise, materials and tools are provided for each course.
What you will need to bring will be listed in the FAQ section on each individual course page.
Courses may suggest wearing appropriate clothing e.g for the weather or that can get messy.
If you’d like to bring work from your own practice, please feel free!
We also suggest bringing a notebook, in case you’d like to take notes/sketches and jot down ideas during the course.

Running times are stated on each individual course page.
Unless stated otherwise, our courses run from 10am - 4pm over a number of days, which will also be listed on the course pages.
Each course has an itinerary listed on it’s page, and a more detailed itinerary will be provided in the communal Granary area for the duration of the course.

Catering is also included in the price of the course ticket.
We provide refreshments throughout the day and a home-cooked lunch which is freshly prepared in our Granary kitchen.
Lunch is served around our communal dining table, offering you a great chance to get to know everyone on the course and share in the making processes you have been developing throughout the day.

We can cater for all dietary requirements, as long as we are told in advance.
If you have specific needs then a menu can be shared prior to attending and any alterations made should they not suit your diet.
There is also an option to fill out your dietary requirements when booking your ticket.

We have free on-site parking, which is signposted.
There are also overflow parking spaces available.

On arrival, you will be greeted by a member of the Clayhill Arts team who will then check you in and show you to your room and give you your room key for the duration of the stay.

If you are staying the night before the course, arrival is from 4pm onwards and there will be a homecooked dinner served at 7pm.

If you are arriving on the day of the course and have booked accommodation, the earliest arrival time is 9am before the course starts at 10am (if the course is stated to start at a different time, any arrival time from 30 minutes-1 hour prior is fine!)

Earlier arrival allows you to settle in, to drop off any bags beforehand - and a Clayhill team member can make you a cuppa!
You will also have time to meet the other participants and the tutor before diving into the course.

Arrival from 9.30am for guests who are just doing the course and not staying.

Clayhill Arts is situated 4 miles outside of the historic market town of Bridgwater, Somerset.

Easily accessible from the motorway - we are 15 minutes from the M5 (J23/J24), 30 mins from Taunton and 2.5 hrs from London via the A303.

Clayhill Arts is also only 50 minutes from both Bristol and Exeter airports.

By train, Bridgwater station is 10 minutes away and Taunton station 30 minutes.

We recommend using the local taxi firm Broadway Taxis: 01278 422442 from the station, or make your way to Bridgwater Bus station and take the number 14 service to Cannington.

The nearest stop to Clayhill Arts is at the bottom of Sandford Hill where it is a 15-minute walk, heading over the roundabout onto Charlynch Lane.

When arriving at Clayhill:
Our site is signposted at the top of the lane, with signposts throughout our site - such as our car park and main entrance.

There are 2 main points of entry - via the Courtyard (signposted Rooms) and the Foyer (signposted Main Entrance).

Of course!

We host a fully accessible bedroom with an en-suite wet room.
Additionally, all communal areas are wheelchair accessible.
A mobility lift has been installed in The Studio, as well as mobility apparatus in the toilets.
Each course will state any accessibility in the FAQ section.
If you have specific access needs, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate.

WIFI is available throughout the complex.
Heating and hot water is supplied by biomass technology, electricity by solar technology and all of the water around the site is fed by a natural spring.
Each bedroom has its own tea and coffee-making facilities, towels,
Bramley bath products, clothes hangers, fan, mirrors, hairdryer, trough-inspired bathtubs with decorative shower curtains and an outdoor seating area.

We are already excited about our 2023 Course Programme and will be looking into running a selection of our 2022 courses again.

We have a no dogs/pets policy here, as we have other animals ie. livestock and wildlife on site, as well as an open plan building.
