Accommodation can be provided with all of our courses here at Clayhill. We have 8 en-suite bedrooms to choose from and can sleep up to 16 people.

Arranged as a mixture of twins and doubles, each room has its own tea and coffee making facilities and outdoor seating area.

WIFI is available throughout the complex, heating and hot water is supplied by biomass technology, electricity by solar technology and all of the water around the site is fed by a natural spring.

Converted from an old threshing barn, the studio is our spacious and light-filled training space. Complete with a projector screen, it's where we host lectures and equipment light workshops. We sometimes use this space to host pop up exhibitions and there are multiple power points available in the space as well as an accessibility lift.

The large gable ends allow beautiful natural light, as well as the overhead roof lights. The studio opens out into our outdoor workshop area; giving you access to the gardens and our main workshop.

Granary & Kitchen

From an old grain storage building that was used to feed animals, our Granary is now the heart of Clayhill, offering a warm and welcoming communal space, that now feeds our guests.

Our fully fitted kitchen was designed by Eternal Kitchens and started life as a dairy shed! Now it’s at the heart of the community space inside the old granary. We can cater for your needs and the space is yours to use, should you choose to stay with us.

The kitchen at Clayhill is open plan and lies at the very heart of the building. It has been designed to invite conversation, to encourage connection and to educate through culture, ingredients and recipes. We love talking about food when you’re visiting and creating our menus to complement the course you are taking.

Converted from an old cattle shed, the workshop is the space we use for messy activities!

Fitted with sinks and heavy-duty benches, this is the place we make, play and experiment. The workshop also houses our artist in residence studios and has its own kitchen.

Our workshop space is also available to hire for artist residencies.

We have our technical library and tool store here, for use on our courses, as well as an additional shipping container that can be used for workshop space too.

With 8 acres of gardens to explore, Clayhill is the perfect place to escape and rejuvenate. The surrounding landscape creates a sense of freedom, giving you the time and space needed for you to focus on your creative practice.

Situated in the heart of 140 acres of arable farmland, Clayhill Arts offers a range of indoor and outdoor learning spaces including a lake, woodland, cut flower, pollination, dye and wildflower gardens.
