Supporting Creativity

Our Chosen Charity is 5x5x5=creativity. They are an independent arts-based action research organisation which supports children in their exploration and expression of ideas, helping them develop creative skills for life.

Inspired by the celebrated Reggio Emilia educational approach in Northern Italy that respects children and young people as strong, capable protagonists in their own learning. It recognises children’s innate inquisitiveness, and affords them the space, time and individual adult attention to explore and learn from the world around them.

Working closely with 5x5x5 we hold events and training that support creative learning for artists working with young children. We also support the charity through donations and fundraising. In fact, all of the quilts here in the Clayhill have been made by way of donation to the charity. Read more about this here

5x5x5=creativity are founding members of Forest of Imagination who:

believe that creativity can enhance wellbeing and transform lives, communities, cities and economies”

They run a number of live participatory events in and around Bath.
